SC 47290 is specifically formulated for stationary gas engine oils (SGEOs). Engines running on compressed
natural gas face more stringent conditions compared to diesel engines, with elevated operating
temperatures exerting greater stress on lubricating materials. Central to this additive package is unique
salicylate technology, which ensures stable operation and maintains the cleanliness of the valve mechanism
and cylinder-piston group.
General Application
The additive package SC 47290 is utilized in lubricants for modern stationary gas piston engines employed in
municipal services, cogeneration at industrial plants, gas compression stations, and gas piston power plants
(GPPs) at oil and gas fields. These engines operate on natural gas and associated petroleum gas, making
them suitable for both supercharged and non-supercharged engines that operate under heavy-duty
conditions and are equipped with exhaust gas toxicity reduction systems.

Features / Benefits
- Versatility: SC 47290 is suitable for use in oils designed for engines running on various types of gas (natural gas, petroleum gas, and biogas)
- Cleaning and Neutralizing Properties: Its excellent cleaning and neutralizing properties ensure maximum engine cleanliness and reliability. Protection against deposit formation throughout the oil change interval contributes to extending the engine's service life
- Compatibility: Low ash and phosphorus content ensures compatibility with modern catalytic exhaust systems
- Oil Oxidation and Nitration: An effective additive system prevents oil oxidation and nitration, extending oil change intervals and reducing downtime. This allows for oil change intervals of up to 2500 operating hours or more, depending on the quality of the base oil
