Natural gas engines require special natural gas engine oil. The additive package SC 47074 is designed for the production of lubricating oils for gas engines, recommended for use in urban buses, delivery trucks, and other service fleets fuelled by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), or Propane.
General Application
SC 47074 is designed to meet the requirements of the Cummins 20074 specification. The 0.4-0.6% ash content requirement in this specification protects natural gas engines from combustion chamber deposits and ignition while providing the performance characteristics required by consumers.
The oil, using an additive package SC 47074, is recommended for B5.9G, B Gas Plus,
B Gas International, B5.9LPG, B LPG Plus, C8.3G, C Gas Plus and L Gas Plus engines.
